Hasan’s expertise is in coaching and facilitating, bringing with him the requisite experience and skills acquired during the corporate life he came from.
His focus is on CEO coaching.
In coaching clients (either 1:1 coaching, group coaching or team coaching) to achieve their goals, Coach Hasan predominantly facilitates a process called Best Year Yet® that is geared towards breaking through barriers, finding what are important to the clients, and inspiring them to create the results they want. Using this process, he draws out the clients’ own wisdom, values and insight, enabling the clients’ plans and their living of their life to be meaningful and focused on what matters most to them.
Also, Muslim senior leaders benefit from his coaching that reinforces their spiritual path, enhancing their professional and personal life. With non-Muslim clients, similarly they receive benefit of reinforcement of universal values that he may not necessarily use Islamic terminology.
Hasan has more than 40 years of working experience, most of them in corporate, having held multiple positions in services, business, leadership, and management, especially in the fields of ICT, innovation, and government.
He had more than 26 years tenure at IBM Malaysia, the final years being in Government Relations. Then Hasan was CEO of InnovationXchange Malaysia (IXC Malaysia Berhad), a startup company he co-founded under Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang that provided innovation intermediary services.
Upon his return to Kuala Lumpur, he served as Director for Business Development and Public Sector at HeiTech Managed Services before joining Multimedia Development Corporation (now known as Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation) for his final corporate position as Director for Internet of Things (IoT) in 2015.
See Portfolio for his recent relevant experience.
Hasan holds an MBA degree from Cardiff University, UK. His interest in productivity led him to acquire certifications as a Getting Things Done® Trainer and Coach, and Best Year Yet® Coach and Facilitator.
Hasan is also an advocate of open innovation. He is a member of the technical committee on Innovation Management at Standards Malaysia, NSC 25 / TC 11, championing the ISO 56000 series for a world-class Innovation Management System.
He is a community builder, hosting/facilitating online communities of business professionals such as Malaysia PeersOnDemand Elite and Trusted Advisors Mastermind Group.
His other community positions in the past included Vice President of Malaysia National Computer Federation (MNCC), Treasurer of the National Tech Association of Malaysia (PIKOM), and Chairman of the Residents Association of Taman Vista Jaya, Lukut, Port Dickson.
Hasan lives with his wife in Kuala Lumpur. They have two married children who have left the nest, and he can often be seen playing with his four grandchildren.
He is an avid reader in fields of business and Islamic knowledge. Also, look for him on the roads and hills cycling, or in his home theatre room watching seasons of the TV series, Star Trek 🖖🏻, celebrating the human spirit.
